web>clicker

Click to Learn. Connect to Save.

web>clicker is a browser-based voting tool that combines the simplicity of i>clicker with the flexibility of laptops and handheld devices. web>clicker works on any standard web browser, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, including Safari for iPhone and iPod Touch.

To get started, instructors enable web>clicker with one click in their i>clicker software. Students simply log into the web>clicker site and prepare to vote. There are no confusing codes or IP addresses to mar the user experience. Students’ focus remains on the lecture, not the technology.  Students can purchase web>clicker access from their bookstore, or, beginning Fall 2010, from our eCommerce site.

If an instructor adopts i>clicker and/or web>clicker in his or her course, students can either purchase an i>clicker handheld remote or web>clicker online access.  i>clicker remotes can be used alongside web>clicker in the same classroom, and faculty can even allow students to vote via web>clicker from remote locations like off-site classrooms, homes, or offices. Student web>clicker and i>clicker responses are compiled in one results graph, and the data is collectively recorded in i>grader.

Students, interested in using web>clicker?

Your instructor must decide to allow web>clicker use in his or her course before you are able to use web>clicker instead of a physical i>clicker remote.  Once your instructor has decided to support web>clicker, you can purchase web>clicker access from your campus bookstore or, beginning Fall 2010, from our eCommerce site.  If you have any questions, please contact us at sales@iclicker.com or 866.209.5698.

A Note about Accessibility

At i>clicker, creating a classroom response system that is easily accessible for every student and every instructor is of utmost importance.  From the initial design of the large buttons on the handheld remote to our vibrating clickers, i>clicker has shown a commitment to making our hardware accessible for every student.  The design of the new web>clicker is no exception.  web>clicker was built in consultation with California Law, Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards (Section 508), and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.

web>clicker is part of the i>clicker Distance Learning suite.
