Use this interactive distance learning system to poll from multiple locations—whether they are down the hall or across the country. Students, regardless of location, can still participate using a standard i>clicker remote. Now beta testing.
- Involve Overflow Classrooms. As classes grow in enrollment, large lecture classes may have a “main” classroom where the instructor lectures and an “overflow” classroom where additional students watch the lecture. With SPS all students can participate—including those in the “overflow” classroom.
- Great for Satellite Campuses and Distance Ed Programs. Many distance education and training programs include synchronous lessons in multiple locations. SPS enables instructors and trainers to connect all of their students from across the state or event country— and engage them in the material.
How it works
- Instructor activates the Satellite Polling System when creating a class in the i>clicker software.
- Instructor activates polling.
- Satellite classrooms start their i>clicker software and “join” the session in progress in the main class. The instructor in the main classroom controls polling for all locations.
- Students in all locations respond using their i>clicker remotes. Votes are sent to the main classroom, compiled in one results graph and collectively stored in i>grader on the instructor’s computer – as if all students were in the same room!
